BODYPUMP HEAVY
The new workout of the decade

BODYPUMP HEAVY™ is tempo-based weightlifting using foundational lifts, slow speeds and long recoveries. Driven by iconic music and group energy, it turns lifting into a fun, social, and addictive experience – that will keep your classes packed and members coming back for more!

If you’ve been teaching BODYPUMP™ for a little while, you’ll love adding BODYPUMP HEAVY into the mix! The heavy lifting might challenge your strength, but trust us, it’s not a huge jump!

Frequently asked questions
What do I need to do to teach BODYPUMP HEAVY?

It’s super easy for you to get on board with this new evolution in strength training. In November, all current BODYPUMP Instructors will have the first BODYPUMP HEAVY release automatically loaded to their Releases App. There will also be an education session designed to help Instructors teach with confidence. Instructors can start teaching BODYPUMP HEAVY classes from January 1, 2026.
If I get certified in BODYPUMP before March 31st, 2026, will I also be certified for BODYPUMP HEAVY?

Yes, anyone who completes their BODYPUMP certification before March 31, 2026 will also be certified to teach BODYPUMP HEAVY – and be gifted the first release for free.
Can I teach BODYPUMP HEAVY at a club that doesn't have LES MILLS Equipment?

Yes, any weights and barbells can be used. However, the program is designed for use with the SMARTBAR™ and weight plates – which help ensure safety, consistency and smooth transitions throughout the workout.

My club doesn't want to add BODYPUMP HEAVY to the timetable. Can I teach this BODYPUMP HEAVY release instead of BODYPUMP?

You should only teach BODYPUMP HEAVY if your club has agreed to try this new program. This will ensure you have suitable support to help members progress. BODYPUMP HEAVY should not be used as a replacement for BODYPUMP. These programs meet different training needs and work best when scheduled together, so members have both endurance and progression pathways.

Do I have to wait until January 2026 to teach BODYPUMP HEAVY?

We know you’re excited about bringing this new program to life. If your club is ready to launch BODYPUMP HEAVY prior to January 2026, go for it!
When can we expect more BODYPUMP HEAVY releases?

The team has been busy, and there are plenty more BODYPUMP HEAVY releases in the pipeline. If you’re excited about teaching this new program and want even more options up your sleeve, you’ll be able to get your hands on BODYPUMP HEAVY Release #02 from December 2025.
